βοΈπ₯ Grilling Season is Here β Stay Safe! π₯βοΈ
Warmer weather means more time outdoors, family cookouts, and firing up the grill. As you enjoy grilling season, remember to keep safety a top priority to protect your home, your family, and your pets.
Here are a few important grilling safety tips:
β
Keep your grill away from your home, deck railings, overhangs, and anything flammable. Never grill inside a garage, carport, or enclosed porch.
β
Create a kid and pet safety zone at least 3 feet around the grill. Grills stay hot long after cooking is finished, so keep little ones and furry friends at a safe distance.
β
Never leave a grill unattended. A small flare-up can quickly become a dangerous fire. Always keep an eye on your food and flames.
β
Check propane tanks and gas lines for leaks before use. If using charcoal, allow coals to cool completely before disposal.
β
Keep a fire extinguisher nearby and know how to use it.
β
Clean your grill regularly to reduce grease buildup that can lead to unexpected fires.
