Valley County Airport would like to say thank you to CapeAir for sponsoring the event, T&R trucking for the fancy red garbage cans, the pilots that donated their time and aircraft to give rides, Valley Hangar for donating the fuel for the rides and big thank you for everyone that attended. We had 5 planes and pilots that did 28 flights and gave rides to 79 people plus on display were 16 aircraft, 15 cars, 4 motorcycles, 1 John Deere Swather and 1 helicopter.

This summer, staff from Montana Aeronautics Division installed weather observations cameras at Wokal Field. These new cameras, purchased by Valley County, are an additional tool for pilots to see near real time weather along there route or at their destination.

The Federal Aviation Administration owns over 200 camera sites in Alaska and Hawaii while they also host an additional 280+ non-FAA owned sites across the lower 48 states and Canada on their website.

One of the more interesting aircraft we see at the airport. This Sikorsky CH-54B Skycrane was in the area to help fight the fire south of Ft Peck. With over 9,000 horse power, it uses a lot of fuel.
