The KY8 family is bidding a fond farewell to Karen Amundson. Since joining us in 2018, she has completed over 700 patient flights, serving our community with unwavering kindness, compassion, and clinical excellence.

We will deeply miss her dedication to high standards—and, of course, her legendary habit of cake for breakfast. As Karen embarks on her next chapter, we wish her nothing but the best.

Karen, you will be missed, but you will always be a part of the KY8 family. Wishing you clear skies and tailwinds in your future endeavors!

Sometimes the greatest adventure isn’t the one in the sky, but raising a little one at home. Today marks Ollie’s last shift before she begins her greatest adventure yet... becoming a mom. 💜
While Ollie isn't a full-time member of the KY-7 crew, she's been a familiar face at our base, picking up countless shifts and always willing to jump in when needed. Her dedication and teamwork have made a lasting impact on our crew and the communities we serve.
We're excited for this next chapter and wish Ollie and her growing family nothing but the very best. We'll be looking forward to meeting the newest crew member before we know it! 👶🚁

A little late-night fuel stop turned into a chance to see a true piece of aviation history.

While fueling in Lexington, the KY8 crew had the opportunity to visit FiFi, one of only two airworthy B-29 Superfortresses left in the world.

Seeing this legendary aircraft up close was a reminder of the incredible history and innovation that paved the way for aviation as we know it today.

From one generation of aircraft to another, it's always an honor to share the ramp with aviation legends.
