For the past 15 years, members of the Bruynell family and Lodge 108 have spruced up the grounds of the Glassboro Methodist church as a way to honor and remember SFC. Greg Bruynell. Thank you to the parish for allowing us to continually honor him in this way.

The Lodge extends our thoughts and prayers to Atlantic City Police Department Sergeant Christian Ivanov and a second Officer who were shot in the line of duty while serving a search warrant on the 100 block of North Florida Avenue on Tuesday at approximately 3 PM.

Sergeant Christian Ivanov sustained serious/life-threatening injuries and underwent surgery, and was last reported that he was in serious but stable condition. The second officer had non-life-threatening injuries and later release.

In 2011, the Glassboro police department lost SFC Greg Bruynell to pancreatic cancer. Today, someone both close to him and the GPD family is now also fighting this insidious disease.

Please consider buying a shirt to help support him during this fight.

The GC Dispatchers Association has put together a tshirt fundraiser honoring pancreatic cancer awareness to raise funds for a fellow dispatcher in Gloucester County who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Th lodge is saddened to learn of the tragic events that took place yesterday afternoon in York County, PA. Five Officers were shot during the course of serving those they swore to protect. Three of those Officers were killed and two are currently fighting for their lives.

On September 11, 2001, two Glassboro Police Officers who were assigned to the Gloucester County Emergency Response Team, responded to NYC to assist in the recovery efforts from the violent attacks on the United States of America. The Lodge would like to thank them for their service and we pray for all those that lost their lives that day, as well as those who still suffer from ongoing issues as result of the attacks.
