The Town is proud to support the upcoming Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, taking place on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers, this nationwide effort is the largest single-day food drive in the country—and it makes a meaningful impact right here in our community.

Residents can participate by placing bags of non-perishable food items by their mailbox before regular mail delivery. Local letter carriers will collect donations and deliver them to the Glastonbury Food Pantry, helping support Glastonbury families in need.
Donations will be received and sorted by staff and volunteers at the Riverfront Community Center.

Please remember to check expiration dates, as expired items cannot be accepted.

Thank you for your continued generosity and for helping neighbors in need.

TIMELY FOOD ASSISTANCE OPPORTUNITY!
Emergency Food Distribution Event SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2025 at Riverfront Community Center

In response to the federal lapse in funding through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the Town of Glastonbury will host an emergency food distribution event at the Riverfront Community Center (RCC) on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 10:00am – 1:00pm. This timely pop-up event will provide non-perishable food to over 100 Glastonbury households during this critical lapse in federal food support.

SNAP documentation is required for participation. Interested residents should please complete the online form at www.glastonburyct.gov/socialservices or contact Social Services at (860) 652-7638 for assistance.

In addition to this weekend’s emergency food distribution event, eligible families can also schedule an appointment to use the Glastonbury Food Pantry for access to milk, eggs, and butter, as well as non-perishable items. (Appointments required.)

A huge thank you to everyone that helped make the 2nd annual Pay it Forward Food Drive a success! This wonderful event, put on by the Glastonbury Historical Society and Glastonbury Partners in Planting, helped fill our shelves with much-needed items!!
