Who we are

Back The Blue PAC serves those who wear the shield, that justice is served, fairly and impartially. Back The Blue PAC is a registered 527 non-profit created to advocate for law enforcement and to support pro-police candidates for elected office. Back The Blue PAC was formed in 2019 amid rising antagonism toward police nationwide, as a way to support both law enforcement officers, and those elected officials and candidates who actively support law enforcement officers. None of us could see what would come less than a year later. Anti-police sentiment has never been more prevalent than it is today, in youth, in academia, in the media, and in government. Politics are never a popular topic when advocating for a cause, but the reality is that those government officials, elected politicians, are the same people who write the laws and develop the policies that our police are bound by. Holding rallies and expressing support for officers and deputies is important, but in the end, what really matters is who is in charge of writing those laws. Recently, in several cities around the country, we’ve seen what happens when anti-police politicians are elected and enact laws that seek to criminalize policing, and seem to prefer prosecuting police to trying criminals. Many of the same politicians who used to claim to be “tough on crime” or for “law and order” now pander to constituent groups by being openly hostile toward law enforcement. They’re encouraged by the support they receive from anti-police voices. This is where Back The Blue PAC is needed. As a non-partisan political action committee, Back The Blue PAC isn’t supporting one party or the other; instead, the sole criteria is if the candidate backs police. There are pro-police officials and candidates, but they need to know that the majority of Americans support police, and will back them if they back police. Right now the anti-police voices are far louder. Back The Blue PAC amplifies the voices of Americans who “back the blue”, and will financially assist candidates who are openly supportive of the men and women in uniform on our streets. To be successful at this, Back The Blue PAC requires the financial contributions of Americans who also see, and are horrified by, the angry attacks on law enforcement, and want to do something meaningful to help. How do you know this isn’t a scam? Unfortunately there are numerous groups who prey upon the goodwill toward police felt by the majority of Americans, and solicit donations under the guise of “protecting police” or otherwise benefiting law enforcement, when in reality they serve no purpose other than to enrich those who formed the group. A cursory look at open source reports from these groups show, for example, one such group, formed by people with no ties to law enforcement, that received $391,000 in donations, yet spent nothing on the purported purpose of the group. They did spend over $387,000, mostly on fundraising and “administrative” costs. That $391,000 in contributions came from the hearts, and pockets, of well-meaning people who want to help, never knowing their donation didn’t help police at all. Back The Blue PAC is no such group. All officers and board members are all active law enforcement officers with over 20 years in service. All have dedicated their lives to public service, and abhor those who would take advantage of the generosity of fellow citizens. The initial start up costs forming the group were paid personally, out of pocket, by one of the founding members in order to allow as much of contributed money to go toward the mission as possible. All donations and expenditures are reported in accordance with law. The bylaws of the organization clearly state that no officer or board member of Back The Blue PAC may be compensated or receive any personal benefit from the contributions received. Please consider a donation to Back The Blue PAC. Help us help police. ⬛️🟦⬛️ “For the Shield and Justice”
