The Fallen Heroes Family Support Fund was established to provide emergency financial assistance to the surviving families of Virginia's fallen law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS professionals, correctional officers, and other public safety personnel.

Unlike many state and federal benefits that may take months or even longer than a year to be processed, the Virginia Public Safety Foundation can review and approve requests for assistance in as little as 24 hours, ensuring families receive help when they need it most.

The Virginia Public Safety Foundation invites you to attend the 2026 Commonwealth Public Safety Memorial Ceremony on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Commonwealth Public Safety Memorial on Capitol Square in Richmond.

Together, we will remember the brave law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, correctional officers, and other public safety professionals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the Commonwealth.

This solemn ceremony is open to the public, and we encourage families, friends, public safety agencies, and community members to stand with us as we honor their sacrifice and ensure their legacy lives on.
