We’re excited to share that our founder, Alana Kolundzija, has been selected to exhibit a digital collage from her Taking Up Space series in Power of Place: Art and the Semi-Quincentennial at Glen Echo Park’s Popcorn Gallery. ✨
At Collective Impact, we believe that creating more just and equitable futures requires not only research, strategy, and collaboration, but also imagination. Creative practice offers another way to question dominant narratives, foster dialogue, and envision new possibilities.
Taking Up Space reimagines iconic civic spaces as places of belonging, visibility, and collective possibility, inviting us to consider who feels welcome in the landscapes that shape our shared stories. At a moment when America’s 250th anniversary has been overridden by narratives that feel narrow and exclusionary, we’re especially grateful to be part of an exhibition and in conversation with other artists contributing to more expansive and inclusive visions of our shared future.
If you’re in the DC area, we’d love to see you at the opening reception this Friday, July 3, from 6 to 8 PM.
