Congratulations on an excellent performance by the Chaparrals! At the Presidents Cookout, the band made its debut performance. Staring Vice President Joe Cassidy, Academic Assistant Matt Fouts, Institutional Advancement Manager Jon Nadel, Professor of Music Matt Shevitz, Shuttle Bus Driver Bert Swiderski, and our very own Chief of Police Kent Munsterman on the drums!

This week our department participated in one of the most comprehensive Active Threat/Rescue Task Force (RTF) training events in our region. We partnered with Lisle Police Department, Woodridge Police Department, Downers Grove Police Department, DuPage Metro SWAT, and numerous fire departments to put on these high-stress and realistic training scenarios. These exercises underscore the teamwork, coordination, and communication that are crucial to these real world events. A massive thank you to the Lisle Police Department and Benet Academy for hosting such a fantastic event.

Big thanks to Laura from MISSION BBQ for stopping by the College of DuPage Police Department!

Laura treated our team to an incredible catered spread — pulled pork, brisket, sides, and all the fixings. It was a fantastic lunch that really hit the spot!

Mission BBQ is more than just great barbecue — they’re on a mission to “Proudly Serve Those Who Serve.” Founded on the 10th anniversary of 9/11, their business is built on honoring first responders, military, police, firefighters, and veterans with authentic, mouth-watering American BBQ and a strong sense of patriotism and service. They live by a servant’s heart and make it a point to support the men and women who protect our communities every day.

Thursday night, the College of DuPage Police department was happy to take part in Westmont’s “Cruisin’ Nights & Street Fair – Village Vehicle Night.” We had a great time meeting all of you that were able to attend!

This event brought together police, fire, and public works vehicles for families to enjoy. It was a great opportunity to connect with all our local agencies.

Big thanks to the Village of Westmont for hosting such a successful event!

TGIF, COD! 🦅⚾😂

Officers Winton and Rudauskas just pulled off the greatest save of the week and it wasn’t even on the diamond!

This ambitious hawk decided to go for a grand slam... right into the batting cage netting.

After a dramatic mid-air flip and getting fully wrapped up like a feathered burrito, our guys carefully freed him and sent him back to the skies where he belongs.

Lesson of the day: even hawks have bad Fridays.

Who else is just trying to make it to 5 o’clock without getting tangled in anything? Happy Friday! 🙌
