We are excited to announce that the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office has officially launched a new, digital Home Safety Survey, and they have asked for our help to get it into the hands of our residents.

This tool is designed to be a quick, five-minute assessment that provides immediate safety guidance to residents while helping us better understand fire safety trends across the state.

🚗💦 CAR WASH & HOT DOG SALE! 🌭🚒

Come out and support Upper Laurel Fire - Rescue on Saturday, October 3, 2026! We’ll be washing cars, serving up hot dogs, and selling some delicious baked goods — all while raising money to help equip our firefighters! 🔥

Strong work from our friends at the Wyoming County Animal Shelter!

Well all the hard work is paying off. We are a kill shelter on paper but we are changing how we use to do things to a better way! Thank you to the volunteers and rescues and adopters that got us here!!!!

Yesterday was more than just a celebration, it was a reminder of what makes Upper Laurel so special.

From the bottom of our hearts, **thank you** to everyone who came out to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with us. Seeing so many families, friends, neighbors, and supporters gathered together made the day one we'll never forget.

As a volunteer department, we are incredibly blessed to serve a community that continues to stand behind us. Yesterday wasn't just about looking back on 50 years of service, it was about celebrating the people who have made those 50 years possible.

One of our greatest joys is being able to give back to the community that gives so much to us. Whether it was the activities, food, music, giveaways, or simply spending time together, we hope everyone left with great memories and a reminder that Upper Laurel is, and always will be, a family.

Thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, donor, vendor, musician, and everyone who helped make this celebration possible. We couldn't have done it without you.
