Our house is built on walls made of stone laid by craftsmen hundreds of years ago. Although straight and sturdy as ever, the stone walls were in dire need of repointing. Enter our son, Mason Koch, who is a mason (how about that for a fortuitous name?), who is tirelessly chipping and repointing the stone walls with a historic grout mixture of lime, sand, and water. He is doing fabulous work. Can’t wait until it’s a wine cellar.
