TRAFFIC ALERT for 6/25/2026:

The Bloomfield Sunset Classic 8K race will take place on Thursday June 25th, 2026 from 6pm to 8pm. There will be significant and heavy traffic delays between Belleville Avenue and Watchung Avenue. There will be no traffic permitted east of Ridgewood Avenue.

Please plan accordingly, additionally delivery drivers (food) will not be permitted onto the race route to deliver orders during this time.

Parking Information:

A limited number of handicap parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Drivers may drop passengers off near the Hurrell Field House before proceeding to legally park their vehicle in the area.

The parking map below provides guidance:

- Red lines indicate No Parking areas.
- Blue lines indicate Designated Handicap Parking locations for vehicles displaying a valid handicap placard or license plate.

Lager Run today, June 14th, 2026. Expect traffic delays between 4pm and 6pm from Ridgewood Avenue to Watchung Avenue. There will be no vehcicular traffic permitted on the race course. All east and west traffic will be diverted to Bloomfield Avenue or Watchung Avenue.

Sami’s Law enhances safety measures for rideshare passengers by requiring additional driver identification, visible placards, and scannable QR codes to help riders verify their driver before entering a vehicle. (morriscountynj.gov⁠)

Before getting into any rideshare vehicle, remember:
✅ Check the license plate
✅ Verify the driver’s name and photo in the app
✅ Confirm the make and model of the vehicle
✅ Use the QR code or verification features when available
✅ Ask, “Who are you here to pick up?” before entering

Stay alert. Stay safe. Always know your ride before you get inside.

The Glen Ridge Lager Run 5K and Nipper 2K races will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

No parking will be permitted along the race route during the event. No Parking signs will be posted the night before the race. Any vehicle parked along the race route during the event may be issued a summons and towed.

Motorists should expect temporary road closures and traffic delays along the race route between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Residents are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly.
