Take your hazardous waste to a safer place! The next Bergen County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event will be held on Saturday, September 19, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Campgaw Mountain Reservation in Mahwah. The event is free for Bergen County residents.

Important message from GRPD-

The Glen Rock Police Department was just advised by a resident that they received a phone call from a phone number purporting to be the Glen Rock Police Department. When he answered the phone, the individual on the other end identified himself as Chief Michael Trover and then began talking about a fictious legal matter. Our resident immediately identified this as a scam and hung up.

Please be advised that the Glen Rock Police Department will not reach out to anyone over the phone in an attempt to collect bail, notify you of a pending warrant or other legal matters. It is not common practice for any law enforcement to contact you this way. Should you receive a phone call similar to this, please do not provide the individual with any personal information or banking information. It is best to hang up and contact the Glen Rock Police Department at 201-670-3947 should you wish for confirmation that we are not trying to reach out to you.

We are excited to announce the annual Glen Rock PBA Dinner on September 10th at 6:30PM at Macaluso’s in Hawthorne. This is a special year as we will also be honoring the retirement of Chief Dean Ackermann. Admission includes dinner and open bar. We will also have a 50/50 raffle and many door prizes from local businesses. Show your support and honor Chief Ackermann’s 40+ years of service to Glen Rock. Please see any PBA member or stop by police headquarters for tickets. We can’t wait to see you there!
