From February through June, oak trees should not be pruned or wounded to prevent the spread of oak wilt. Texas A&M Forest Service reminds Texans that it is especially critical to avoid pruning oaks in Texas counties affected by oak wilt. Visit www.texasoakwilt.org to learn how to stop the spread.

Currently, there is no vaccine to prevent COVID-19. The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed and continue practicing Nonpharmaceutical Interventions, or NPIs.

These include:
▪️ staying home when you are sick
▪️ covering your coughs and sneezes
▪️ washing your hands regularly
▪️ avoiding crowded places through social distancing
▪️ disinfecting surfaces that are frequently touched
▪️ seeking medical care if symptoms appear

Glen Rose High School Horticulture class needs your help!

ATTENTION PLANT ENTHUSIAST:

The Horticulture class is looking for 10-12 individuals who would be willing to let them keep their outside plants in the greenhouse for the winter.

We are needing each plant to be of a different species, with the goal of propagating new plants off of yours, in order to increase the variety in our greenhouse. Your plant will be pruned, watered, and fertilized in a state of the art, climate controlled greenhouse throughout the winter months and returned next spring. Along with a health plant you will be given first pick of the spring plants to help grow your own collection. Please contact Mr. Clarke or Mr. Bozarth with any questions. Thank you for all this great community does in helping grow our Agricultural Program.
