🍕🖍️☀️ Day 5 of LSYP… that’s a wrap! ☀️🖍️🍕

For our last day together, we played outside, made birdhouses, had some gym time, and had a pizza party!

Thank you to all of our campers, staff, and families for making our first year of full-day camp such a great success! See you next summer! 😊

🎨🐾🦔 LSYP Day 4 was PACKED with excitement!🦔🐾🎨

The rain didn’t put a damper on our fun! We started our morning with a visit from the National Park Service. Campers learned about animal tracks and fur. We FINALLY painted our clay creations from our time spent with Jessie Lazar- they are truly masterpieces! A break in the rain allowed for some playground and kickball time. This afternoon, campers were surprised with a visit from Dominic from Rizzo’s Wildlife World. Seeing a chinchilla, crocodile, scorpion, crab, hedgehog, legless lizard, and some snakes was a true treat! We ended the day with some free choice activities- sun catchers, puzzles, pipe cleaner crafts, and gym fun. Phew- we’re tired!

🌿🫟📖 Day 3 of the LSYP…already! 📖🫟🌿

Today, we took our painted rocks down to the nature trail at Circle Park… you should try to spot all of them! We took some time to play, and then some visitors from Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson arrived to make some cool t-shirts with us! The campers made their own pinwheels and tested them out in front of our huge fan! We finished off the day by cooling down in the AC and watching the brand new Lilo & Stitch movie!

🚒🛝💦 Day 2 of the LSYP was a hot one…💦🛝🚒

…but thanks to our friends at the Lumberland Fire Department, we were able to cool down! Campers created some really amazing kaleidoscopes. They also painted some rocks… what do you think they’ll do with their rock creations? We spent some time making awesome chalk pictures and, of course, played at the park! Some visitors from the Department of Public Health came to talk to us about how to keep our body healthy.

🧩⚽️🌳Day 1 of the LSYP was a blast!🌳⚽️🧩

We had so much fun making different pottery creations with Jessie Lazar from the Sullivan Public. The kids worked as teams playing soccer and building hoola huts. Sticker by code was a true coding challenge! We imagined the things that we would see on the nature trail at Circle Park, and then we went on a scavenger hunt to find flowers, leaves, rocks, seeds, and more! Campers showed their crafty side by designing their own puzzles and then tried to solve them.
