🪺🪴🧩 Day 4 was a blast! 🧩🪴🪺

Campers started their day in stations. In the cafeteria, campers painted their own miniature planters. In the hallway, teams worked together in a STEAM challenge to create houses for the three little pigs. In the gym, campers played so many intense games! After our rotations were complete, we got in some time on the playground. We had a visit from Nick from the National Park Service, who taught us about different types of birds and led us in a birds’ nest craft. Then, we enjoyed some free choice art time with Lynn from Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson. Choices included making bracelets, designing ornaments, coloring, or making a puzzle. We had so much fun today!

🎨🫟🌌 LSYP Day 3 was a masterpiece! 🌌🫟🎨

Today, Miss Brown led us in a directed painting tutorial. Campers took their time following each direction and adding their own personal touches to their paintings. We spent some more time with Joy from Cornell Cooperative learning about fitness and dance while moving our bodies. In the gym, we played kickball, dodgeball, different types of tag, and more. We ended the day with free choice- Legos, Lincoln logs, coloring, playground, or movie!

Don’t forget to wear your shirts tomorrow, campers!

🐓🐷🐥 LSYP Day 2… Look at those smiles! 🐥🐷🐓

Our visit today was from Robbie’s Ranch! We got to pet and hold chickens, a baby emu, piglets, ferrets, ducklings, goats, lamb, guinea pigs, rabbits, and a bearded dragon! In between showers, we snuck in some time at Circle Park. Campers enjoyed fun games in the gym & tie-dyed their camp t-shirts. We ended the day with a movie and a snack as the rain came down.

🛝⚽️🖍️ Day 1 of the LSYP called for crafts, movement, & LOTS of outdoor time! 🖍️⚽️🛝

We started the day with a trip to Circle Park. After playing at the park, we made our very own markers and tested them out by coloring! Then, Joy from Cornell Cooperative joined us for some dance and fitness instruction. Campers even got to lead the group! We designed our own summer drinking cups and played LOTS of games- kickball, four square, soccer, and more!
