✨ A Beautiful New Welcome to Circle Park! ✨

Visitors to Circle Park will now be greeted by a wonderful new addition — our beautiful new entrance arch, installed yesterday by the Town of Lumberland Highway Department!

This special project was nearly two years in the making and began with an idea from Councilwoman Zoriana Gingold, who worked with Bill McKerrell and Ron Meyers to help organize the project and bring the idea to Sullivan BOCES Career & Technical Education.

From there, the students took over! 👏

Under the guidance of welding instructors Nick Conklin and Melinda Coney, students visited Circle Park, took measurements, developed the design and ultimately fabricated the arch. Eldred students Alex Daw, Trey Quick, Kain Quimby, Justin Plocharczyk and Trai Kaufmann were involved in the initial measuring and planning.

The arch was completed this year by the senior welding class: Ronald Brigman (Monticello), Josh Decker (Liberty), Jack Groom (Monticello), Trai Kaufmann (Eldred) and Braeden Fairfield (Monticello).

And they're not quite finished yet — handcrafted butterflies created by the students will also be added to the arch! 🦋

We are incredibly proud to have the work of these talented young people become a permanent part of Circle Park. What a wonderful example of students learning a skilled trade while creating something that an entire community can enjoy for years to come.

A huge THANK YOU to Sullivan BOCES Career & Technical Education, Nick and Melinda, all of the students who contributed their time and talent, Zoriana, Bill and Ron for bringing everyone together, and our Highway Department for getting the new arch safely installed yesterday.

Welcome to Circle Park! 🌳🦋
We hope you enjoy its beautiful new entrance as much as we do!

It truly takes a village. ❤️🤍💙

The Lumberland Heritage & Heroes Committee would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the 250th Anniversary of the United States and the 75th Anniversary of the Lumberland Fire Department such a memorable celebration.

Pictured (left to right): Eric Robles, Zoriana Gingold, Jennifer Jensen, Town Supervisor Suzanne Edzenga, Lori Serafin, and Ellen Gulla. Missing from the photo are Susan Fraysse Russ, Andy Russ, and Trina Hickey, whose hard work and dedication were equally instrumental in making this event a success.

To everyone who braved the heat to join us—our parade participants, local organizations, vendors, spectators, fire departments, constables, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, our fire apparatus decorating contest judges, elected officials, volunteers, and the many others who worked behind the scenes—thank you.

We couldn't have done it without you!

Thank you for helping us celebrate our history, honor our heroes, and create lasting memories together. 🇺🇸
