Well.... it's finally here ...that summer we've been wanting!!!! And the year is half over. Next thing on the list is Independence Day celebrations. At the RV Park this year, we're going to avoid extra heat and noise, so no fireworks BUT -- We are going to celebrate Customer Family time with Finger Food pot luck, Table Games, and Stack you own Ice Cream Sundaes. 6:00 pm. On Friday July 4th. In the Multipurpose room with AC and restrooms...YAY!!! 🎉🎊🍦

Good day to all our Bluegrass fans. Have to share bad news this evening. Just received news that some of our Musicians scheduled to be here next weekend have been taken ill and will not be able to be here for Pickin Days on June 5 & 6.
The event has been Cancelled.

Reminder -- "Dust off the Fiddle and Rosin up the Bow"-- a borrowed phrase to announce the Annual Bluegrass Pickin Days at Barks Plantation. Come stroll around campsites and enjoy live music from very talented folks who love Bluegrass music and enjoy the "Picking" with fellow musicians.
Dates are June 6 & 7, 2025. Details can be discussed with Gary (Tugboat) King at 314 422 1766 or Paul Payne 636 441 7429. Get ready for some serious ToeTapping". This is a casual event there is no time schedule. See you there.

PLEASE NOTE: Recent plans for county improvements will force a closure to our normal Highway ZZ Entrance and creates a need to enter our park via the Highway 34 Access near Wisconsin Street. The entry is 1 & 1/2 miles West of GleanAllen on Highway 34, Sign will be posted. Thanks for your understanding.

To whom it may concern: the upcoming closing of Highway ZZ for bridge rebuild does NOT automatically open our property to public traffic. Our campground trails will not support the 500 plus daily vehicles that travel the highway we just happen to be located on.. our customers have conversed with in in regard to accessing their unit and we have covered details with them. Emergency response vehicles such as law enforcement, ambulance, and fire vehicles require access to serve our community. Other vehicles will be considered transpassing. This is private property and our camping facility is for our patrons enjoyment. Please honor our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.

FYI -- with the amount of Liquid sunshine given us in last 12 hours it is necessary to cancel the Plow Days event that was scheduled for tomorrow at Barks Plantation. We'll Relax and get ready for the May flowers that the April showers will help deliver. Happy Spring.

But it is good camping weather. Just right for Campfires and Smores.
