▪ Responded to a disturbance on Hwy 7, east of Hutchinson. As a result, Angela Moe, age 43, of Hutchinson, was arrested for probable cause disorderly conduct, obstruction of legal process, neglect or endangerment of a child, and transported to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe. The deputies cleared with reports.

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026

▪ Assisted with a road obstruction in the area of Hwy 22 & Airport Rd. The deputy cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a ditch fire in the area of Tagus Ave & Belle Lake Rd. Hutchinson Fire, who extinguished the fire, also assisted. The deputy cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a report of harassment on Lake Ave S, in Silver Lake. The deputy cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a report of a suspicious person on Hwy 15, south of Hutchinson. The deputy spoke with the individual and cleared with case notes.

▪ Spoke with an individual over the phone regarding fraud. The deputy cleared with a report. This case remains under investigation.

▪ Responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Nature Ave & 65th St. Vehicle #1 was a 2016 Ford Edge, driven by a 17-year-old juvenile. Vehicle #2 was a 2015 Ram 1500, owned and driven by Nicholas Templin, age 46, of Brownton. There were no apparent injuries. All occupants were wearing seat belts. The deputy cleared with a citation and a MN State crash report.

▪ Responded to a possible car fire in the area of Cardinal Ave & 230th St. Winsted Fire and Winsted Lester Prairie Police also assisted. No fire was located. The deputy cleared with case notes.

Former McLeod County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Al Cheney was remembered last night during a Celebration of Life attended by family, friends, and colleagues.

Al served the citizens of McLeod County with honor and dedication, including 18 years as Chief Deputy before retiring in 1997. His leadership, professionalism, and commitment to public service left a lasting impact on the Sheriff's Office and our community.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Al's family and friends. Rest in peace, Al!

▪ Responded to a motorist assist in the area of 30th St & Nature Ave. The deputies assisted with moving the vehicle off the roadway and providing lights while the vehicle was removed by a tow. The deputies cleared with case notes.
