▪ Responded to a medical on Lace Ave. Silver Lake Fire and Silver Lake Ambulance also assisted. No one was transported. The deputy cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a fire truck vs deer crash that occurred in the area of 230th St & Major Ave. The deputy cleared with a report.

▪ Spoke to an individual over the phone with questions. The deputy advised the individual of their options and cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a lift assist on Main St E, in Silver Lake. Silver Lake Fire also assisted. The deputy cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a medical on 100th St. Allina Ambulance also assisted. No one was transported. The deputies cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a report of threats on Iris Rd. Allina Ambulance also assisted. One individual was transported to the hospital. The deputies cleared with reports.

▪ Responded to a report of fraud on 130th St. The deputy cleared with a report. This case remains under investigation.

▪ Responded to a driving complaint in the area of CR 7 & 150th St. Hutchinson Police, who located the vehicle, also assisted. The deputy cleared with case notes.

▪ Spoke to an individual over the phone regarding theft. The deputy cleared with a report. This case remains under investigation.

▪ Assisted the Glencoe Police with a disturbance on 13th St E, in Glencoe. The deputy cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a disturbance on Hwy 7, east of Hutchinson. As a result, Angela Moe, age 43, of Hutchinson, was arrested for probable cause disorderly conduct, obstruction of legal process, neglect or endangerment of a child, and transported to the McLeod County Jail in Glencoe. The deputies cleared with reports.

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026

▪ Responded to an alarm on Hwy 7, northwest of Lester Prairie. The deputy cleared with case notes.

▪ Assisted with a road obstruction in the area of Hwy 22 & Airport Rd. The deputy cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a welfare check on Falcon Ave. The deputies cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a disturbance on 120th St. The deputies cleared with case notes.

▪ Assisted the MN State Patrol with a vehicle crash in the area of Hwy 15 & 30th St. The deputies cleared with reports.

▪ Responded to an alarm on Koglin Rd. The deputies cleared with case notes.

▪ Spoke to an individual over the phone regarding a welfare check. The deputies cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a medical on Jade Rd. Silver Lake Fire and Silver Lake Ambulance also assisted. One individual was transported to the hospital. The deputy cleared with case notes.

Thursday, June 4th, 2026

▪ Responded to a ditch fire in the area of Tagus Ave & Belle Lake Rd. Hutchinson Fire, who extinguished the fire, also assisted. The deputy cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a report of harassment on Lake Ave S, in Silver Lake. The deputy cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a report of a suspicious person on Hwy 15, south of Hutchinson. The deputy spoke with the individual and cleared with case notes.

▪ Spoke with an individual over the phone regarding fraud. The deputy cleared with a report. This case remains under investigation.

▪ Responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Nature Ave & 65th St. Vehicle #1 was a 2016 Ford Edge, driven by a 17-year-old juvenile. Vehicle #2 was a 2015 Ram 1500, owned and driven by Nicholas Templin, age 46, of Brownton. There were no apparent injuries. All occupants were wearing seat belts. The deputy cleared with a citation and a MN State crash report.

▪ Responded to a possible car fire in the area of Cardinal Ave & 230th St. Winsted Fire and Winsted Lester Prairie Police also assisted. No fire was located. The deputy cleared with case notes.

Former McLeod County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Al Cheney was remembered last night during a Celebration of Life attended by family, friends, and colleagues.

Al served the citizens of McLeod County with honor and dedication, including 18 years as Chief Deputy before retiring in 1997. His leadership, professionalism, and commitment to public service left a lasting impact on the Sheriff's Office and our community.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Al's family and friends. Rest in peace, Al!

▪ Responded to debris on the roadway in the area of Hwy 7 & Kale Ave. The deputy removed the debris and cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a motorist assist in the area of 30th St & Nature Ave. The deputies assisted with moving the vehicle off the roadway and providing lights while the vehicle was removed by a tow. The deputies cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a motorist assist in the area of 4th Ave NE & Main St N, in Hutchinson. The deputy assisted with calling for a tow and cleared with case notes.

▪ Responded to a fire in the area of 60th St & Unit Ave. Stewart Fire, who extinguished the fire, also assisted. The deputy cleared with case notes.
