Did you know you can check out Minnesota State Park passes for free at the Glencoe Library?

We’ve collaborated with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to provide free, seven-day state park passes for you to check out and explore any state park and recreation area. Enjoy the sounds of returning songbirds or the sights of spring ephemerals without the financial barrier of a vehicle entrance fee.

To check out a pass, just come to the library! You do not need a library card to check out a parks pass (though library cards are also free, and we'd love to sign you up!) State parks passes are not reservable or renewable.

When you are at the park, make sure to clearly display the pass on your vehicle dashboard. After your visit, just recycle the pass!

These state park passes are provided through the Minnesota State Park Library Program and only cover the vehicle entrance fee. If you’d like to camp, you’ll need to make and pay for those reservations separately.

😳 Fear not! We are not getting rid of Large Print books; we have just temporarily moved them to locations elsewhere in the library.

Shelving units are being moved, too, to accommodate some ceiling repair work in this area, which will begin Mon. April 20th.

The library will be open our regular hours. Newspapers will still be available in an alternate spot.

Please ask staff if you need assistance locating any materials and thanks for your patience.
