In response to news story on wtrf7....
Our center has never been contacted by any official representative of the Glencoe American Legion post 632 in regards to using our facilities. We are still operating as our mission statement provides. We still maintain the playground and mentor our youth of this community and will continue to do so. There seems to be some with the presumption that the legion needs a building, we have a building so they have decided the post can just move there. This presumption is incorrect. We do not need to have open to the public hours and a free for all to facilitate our mission, which also includes facilitating a sense of community. That being said, the manner in which this has been handled does not meet that and should be regarded as a step back from the progress made in recent years. We will continue to operate to the best of our ability using the support we have and remain a non profit in good standing.

Another great day of makeovers for the playground!! Can't wait to get new canvas roof on. Tables and benches will be placed as soon as weather cooperates to set concrete!!
