McLeod For Tomorrow is a county-wide leadership development program and it's efforts are led by a local board of directors and staff- three of whom are McLeod County employees: IT Director Matt Troska, HR Generalist Andrea Matheny, and HHS Supervisor Lisa Waller-Maresh.

Who is McLeod For Tomorrow?
We are so glad you asked! Our board and program coordinator work hard all year long to help provide an opportunity for McLeod County community members and workers to connect and network, while working on their personal leadership skills.
Matt Troska is our current Board Chair. He retires in August after fulfilling his third three-year term as a board member.
Andrea Matheny is our current Vice Chair and expected Board Chair after Matt's retirement. She has served our board for 4 years, two of which she has served as Vice Chair.
Kari Kunkel is our Treasurer, who is soon stepping down from that role to be Vice Chair. She has served our board faithfully for 8 years, meaning she will be retiring from the board in 2027.
Lisa Waller-Maresh is the Secretary of the MFT board. She has served for 4 years, two of which as secretary.
Jocelynn Buckentin is one of our directors. She has served us for the last 3 years and recently decided to go for another 3-year term with us!
Justin Opheim has been on the board for over a year now. While newer to the board, Justin has proven to be a very valuable member of the MFT team.
Natasha Thompson has been on board with MFT for a year in July. We are so grateful to have her expertise and dedication to our organization!
Our final board member is Liz Anderson, recent graduate of the 2026 program, Liz is our newest board member. She has been serving for the last 4 months. We are so excited to have her on board!
Lastly, Meg Schlueter is the program coordinator for McLeod For Tomorrow. She has been working for the organization for the last 5 years. This current cohort we are recruiting for, will be her 6th cohort.
