Starting on 7/16/2026, McLeod County will be under a burning ban until Friday at 11am. No open burning will be allowed during this time. This does not include recreational fires. Weather conditions will be monitored, and restrictions may be extended if needed.

Every year, Glencoe firefighters put every single foot of fire hose on our trucks through a rigorous annual pressure test. In total, we’re talking thousands of feet of hose.

Why do we do this? Because when we’re on the scene of an active fire, the last thing we need is an equipment failure. Testing these lines under high pressure now ensures they will perform exactly when we and you need them most.

It’s a long, wet, and physically demanding job, especially in the heat, but our members got it done to ensure we're always ready to respond.

Our Glencoe Fire Department 4th Annual Golf Tournament on July 24th is only 2 weeks away!
