Say hello to... Rosanne Langer, Burton's AMAZING family advocate! A little note from Rosanne:

Hello families!
This is my third year as the Family Advocate at Glenn F Burton school. Before becoming the Family Advocate I have been a teacher in GESD for several decades. I have worked at WC Jack, ME Sine, and retired from Challenger School.
I raised 3 children that also attended GESD schools, as did my oldest granddaughter. I have lived in Glendale for over 30 years.
When I was a classroom teacher I often felt that I lacked the resources to help our families and now I am so happy to be able to partner with teachers for the needs of our families. This work is very rewarding to me being able to assist families in many areas.
In my free time I attend 4 water aerobics classes during the week. I also enjoy walking at Sahuaro Ranch Park with my dog when it's not 110 degrees. I love spending time with my grandchildren.

Este es mi tercer año como Promotora Familiar en la Escuela Glenn F. Burton. Antes de asumir este cargo, fui maestra en el Distrito Escolar Elemental de Glendale (GESD) durante varias décadas. Trabajé en las escuelas William C. Jack, Melvin E. Sine y me jubilé de la Escuela Challenger.

Crié a tres hijos que también asistieron a escuelas de GESD, al igual que mi nieta mayor. He vivido en Glendale por más de 30 años. Cuando era maestra de aula, a menudo sentía que me faltaban los recursos para ayudar a nuestras familias y ahora estoy muy contenta de poder colaborar con los maestros para atender las necesidades de nuestras familias. Este trabajo es muy satisfactorio para mí, ya que me permite ayudar a las familias en muchos aspectos.

En mi tiempo libre asisto a cuatro clases de aeróbica acuática durante la semana. También disfruto de pasear por el Parque Sahuaro Ranch con mi perro cuando el calor no está a 110° F. Me encanta pasar tiempo con mis nietos.

Hello, Burton Families! 💜🖤

Keeping our students safe is our top priority. This year, Burton Elementary will continue using the Sandy Hook Promise program to help students build empathy, recognize warning signs, and learn the importance of speaking up when they are concerned about themselves or others.
