Truck 82 featured on the cover of this month’s Firehouse.com assisting Milwaukee Fire Department at a structure fire. Milwaukee County Fire Departments have a borderless automatic aid system that dispatches the closest appropriate resources based off standardized resource packages for high risk/acuity calls for service. The photo was taken by Scott Carnahan who donated the proceeds to the North Shore Fire Rescue Foundation.

It is with a heavy heart the Green Bay Metro Fire Department announces the line of duty death of Engineer/Paramedic Tyler Kreiter, age 43.

Tyler was assigned to Fire Station 6, located at 1701 W Mason. He faithfully served our department, residents, and our community for 17 years. Tyler exemplified what it means to be a Green Bay Metro Firefighter. The courage and determination he displayed in the performance of his duties were outmatched only by his spirit in his fight against cancer.

We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the family, friends, and colleagues of Tyler. Thank you for respecting the privacy of the Kreiter family during this extraordinarily difficult time.
