He grew up in foster care. Now he’s a doctor helping pro athletes. Dr. Kyle Simkovich, known as Dr. Simi, received FosterAll’s very first scholarship back in 2008. Today, he’s a head athletic trainer in pro soccer and gives back to the community that helped raise him.

Each year, FosterAll presents the Guardian Angel Award to individuals or organizations who go above and beyond to protect and support families, kids and communities. This year, longtime FosterAll supporters, the Ho Family, presented the Pasadena Police Department with this special honor.

During the devastating Eaton fires, the Pasadena Police Department played a critical role in saving hundreds of families, acting swiftly, selflessly, and with great compassion. Their courage and dedication exemplify what it means to be a true guardian angel in our community.
