β οΈ Power outages can happen with little warning during wildfire season. Are you ready?
Wildfires, extreme weather, and public safety power shutoffs (PSPS) may lead to power outages across Oregon. Taking a few simple steps now can help keep you and your family safe.
β
Build a 2 Weeks Ready emergency kit with food, water, medications, batteries, and pet supplies.
π± Keep your phone charged and make sure your utility has your current contact information so you can receive outage alerts.
π₯ If you rely on electricity for medical equipment, contact your utility provider about a Medical Certificate before an outage occurs.
β‘ Never touch downed power lines.
π¦ Use flashlights instead of candles during an outage.
π Operate generators outside, away from doors, windows, and vents to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
