The GUSD Board of Education voted 4–0 to place the proposed $86 million Measure G bond on the November ballot.

Now that the measure is moving to the voters, our goal is to help our community understand what the proposed measure says.

This carousel summarizes information contained in the official bond language, including:
• Why the district is proposing the bond
• The estimated tax information
• The types of projects that could be funded
• Accountability and oversight requirements
• State matching funds referenced in the measure
• Other important details included in the proposal

Our goal is to provide clear, source-based information so our community can review the facts and make informed decisions.

We encourage everyone to:
📖 Read the measure.
❓ Ask questions.
🔎 Review the facts.
👥 Hear different perspectives.

📢 SB 760 is now in effect.

Beginning July 1, California law requires every K–12 school to provide at least one private gender-neutral restroom.

While this requirement came from the state, how it was implemented locally was up to each school district. Our district chose to comply by providing one private gender-neutral restroom at each school rather than making broader changes to student restrooms.

This is a reminder that local leadership matters. State laws often establish the requirements, but your locally elected school board plays an important role in determining how those laws are implemented in your community.

Want to better understand what SB 760 requires, how it impacts California schools?
