Tonight, the Glenn Heights Fire Department personnel would like to publicly acknowledge the dedication of service that one of our members has displayed. Captain Moore has served several fire departments during his distinguished career. But tonight, we would like to recognize Captain Moore with a plaque commemorating his 20 years of service with the Glenn Heights Fire Department from January 27, 2001 to January 27, 2021.
Captain Moore is one of the original 6 full time members hired when the Glenn Heights Fire became a professionally paid fire department.
Captain Chad Moore, it has been a true honor working alongside you for 20 years. Your service, friendship, and dedication to our City is greatly appreciated. Thank you for who you are and have been to our department.

At tonight’s Glenn Heights City Council Meeting, the Glenn Heights Fire Department presented 2 separate Life Saving awards.
The 1st Life Saving award went to Captain Chad Moore, Firefighter Nicholas Williams, Firefighter Russell Stockwell, Firefighter Ryan Bysak and Officer Russell Lloyd with GHPD for a call they responded to in Jan of 2021. These individuals served accordingly and as a result of their actions, saved the life of a shooting victim.
The 2nd Life Saving award went to, Captain Chad Moore, Firefighter Nicholas Williams, Firefighter Russell Stockwell, Firefighter Justin Graham. These individuals responded to a call in Dec of 2020 where an individual during their assessment became pulse less and unresponsive. They immediately took action and started life saving measures.
It is an honor to work alongside these individuals and also the other great staff of GHFD. Their servant heart and desire to be great each day is a direct result of the pride they have in our department. I am thankful for their hard work and dedication to the Glenn Heights community.
Thank you for your service and thank you for your hard work.

Staff has worked with local churches to identify and set up warming centers throughout the community. If you are without power and in need of a warm place, please visit one of these 2 sites. HOP has partnered with the City to offer this warming center.
Grace Church is providing 3 meals/ day and has access to drinking water. Please visit either one 24/7 through Friday for assistance and refuge from the cold temps.
I am extremely thankful for the team I am a part of. The GHFD has sacrificed on a different level this week. While making sure the citizens of Glenn Heights are taken care of, the weight of the world is on our shoulders as we had to leave behind our wives and for most, young children. Our wives have been dealing with no water, no electricity, freezing temps, busted pipes, and sickness all alone.
We appreciate their sacrifice and their willingness to step in and take over when we have to walk out the door. When duty calls, they are our First Responders and their sacrifices are more than we could ever imagine.
Thank you to the Wives of the GHFD, we can’t do what we do without YOU!
