Last night for drill the Glenolden Fire Company traveled to the Delaware County Emergency Services Training Center

Crews reviewed victim packaging and removal as both a one firefighter and two firefighter skill. Newer members also received training on building layouts and primary searches.

On Wednesday July 15, 2026 at approximately 10:00 AM the Glenolden Fire Department was dispatched to 2006 Elmwood Ave, Sharon Hill for a a possible building fire.

Prior to responding it was determined to be a large amount of smoke coming from EMR Scrapyard in Darby Township.

Tower 5 was redirected to the scene and directed to set up master stream operations for a large pile of scrap and debris on fire.

Tower 5 operated for approximately 4 hours before returning available, we would also like to thank Darby Township Board of Commissioner John Lacey for sending Pizza and refreshments to our station afterwards!

The Officers and Members of the Glenolden Fire Company would like to wish everyone a safe and happy 250th Independence Day!

Last night for drill, the Glenolden Fire Company took advantage of the nice weather and crews traveled to the elementary school focusing on apparatus operations. Driver trainees conducted aerial operations with the Tower, gaining valuable hands-on experience in setup and operation.

New Engine drivers and members on driver training of the Engine also completed a pump panel confidence drill designed to reinforce knowledge and proficiency in pump operations.
