Around 10:30 pm company 77 was dispatched to assist Company 76 for a pump out service. Due to the heavy storms that passed thru the area the local state representatives office flooded causing minor damage. Companies worked together for about 3 hours assisting to get the offices and homes back to normal for the next day. Also we like to extend a big thank you to Shelia Carter for her donation to the local fire companies. Today around 7:45 AM the Goodwill Fire company members were dispatched to assist Sta. 76 in the 1000 block of Ash road for a gas odor in a home . Chief 76 arrived with a crew of 4 on E76 to find high readings of LEL and quickly established a water supply. Crews from Pipeline 77 went in service making the quick hydrant connection while Deputy 77 Eichelman worked with crews making entry into the home and secured the gas supply. Crews remained on location for about an hour venting the home until Peco Gas arrived to secure the meter.

Happy Summer Everyone! Here are some helpful safety tips for barbecuing this summer!
Place the grill well away from siding and deck railings and out from under eaves and overhanging branches according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not store or use a grill on a porch or balcony, including any porch or balcony on an upper level of the building.
Dispose of charcoal coals only after they are cool. Empty the coals into a metal container with a tight-fitting lid that is used only to collect coals. Place the container outside away from anything that can burn. Never empty coals directly into a trash can. (NFPA).

Today crews worked together repacking and inspecting apparatus hose. Our new SOG is in conjunction with our mutual aid companies to establish a water supply on every building fire dispatch. This will ensure that we have proper water supply in place in the event that an active fire is found and assured that our firefighters have the water they need to complete their task.

We would like to welcome all the new members that have joined our volunteer organization.

Want to learn more about what we do please stop by on a Tuesday night and visit. We are accepting applications for social member, administration and firefighters.
