Senator Dan Stec The official page of Senator Dan Stec. Senator Dan Stec is a North Country native, Navy veteran, and father. After serving our nation for eight years in the U.S.

Navy’s nuclear power program, Dan ran for town council in Queensbury. He was then elected Town Supervisor for five terms and chairman of the Warren County Board of Supervisors for two terms. In 2012, Dan was elected to the New York State Assembly where he championed a state constitutional amendment to strip corrupt politicians of their public pensions. Dan was also instrumental in the passage of t

hree constitutional amendments important to Adirondack communities. On November 3, 2020, Dan was elected State Senator. Dan is now putting his passion for public service to work for our families and businesses by fighting for better broadband and cell service, supporting our upstate schools and hospitals and proposing initiatives to help our economy recover from the pandemic.

In the wake of New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill admitting the stunning news that 6,600 non-citizens were registered to vote and 400 voted, my Senate Republican colleagues and I sent a letter to Governor Hochul urging her to work with the legislature to pass a commonsense election reforms package that will ensure our elections are secure. This scandal should be a wake up call to all New Yorkers.
