Benjamin C Lapham for 4th Ward

Benjamin C Lapham for 4th Ward Hi I am Ben Lapham and I represent the fourth ward in Glens Falls Common Council. Hi, I am Benjamin C. They also ran M.

Lapham and I am running as a Democrat to represent the 4th Ward in Glens Falls Common Council. The past few years I have worked with the city on the Glens Falls Climate Smart Community Task Force and participated with the Sustainability Committee as well. I am a software engineer who has owned a home on Sherman Ave for the fourteen years. I have resided in Warren County and worked for Nielsen/Grac

enote/Tribune Media Services for over 30 years and have been active in the community volunteering with Art in the Public Eye, Planned Parenthood, Tri-County United Way, The Open Door Mission and having co-founded the Glens Falls Food Co-op as well as serving as its president for several years. Should I be elected I will for measures that

• increase focus on our neighborhoods
• promote sensible and transparent code enforcement
• reassess the city's vision and planning because to reflect sea changes in our economic landscape
• promote walk-ability and bike-ability in the city
• reduce waste and promote durable solutions to the challenges that face us

My family goes back many generations in Glens Falls. My grandmother was a Glens Falls schoolteacher and my grandfather was an engineer. Lapham & Sons sporting goods store downtown. I believe my years of experience as an engineer and experience with project management will benefit the city. I love this city and I want to help Glens Falls be its best.

Adjust your commute!
Wednesday, avoid Sherman Avenue near Glen Street if you are commuting through.
Glens Falls will be working on a sewer line repair at 8 Sherman Ave. on WEDNESDAY FEB. 18, 2026, starting @ 7:00am.
The roadcrew will need to close Sherman Avenue from Glen St. west to Elm St. to all traffic excluding emergency vehicles until the repairs are completed around 3:00pm pending any complications.

Dear Governor Hochul,

I am Benjamin Lapham and I represent the fourth ward at Common Council for the City of Glens Falls. There is a project being developed in the neighboring town of Fort Edward for a solar installation by Boralex corporation.

The proposed project has significant impacts on grasslands vital for the habitat of the short aered owl, an endangered species. I am concerned that DEC is not able to protect this habitat because somehow the office of renewable energy siting seems to have preference.

I will say, the city of Glens Falls has been trying for longer than the four years I've served on the council to site an array of solar panels on a site that previously was the city's dump. I have never heard any representative of ORES weigh in on our efforts to develop on state owned brown space area. Why are they preempting DEC on private working farmland? I think we need to push pause and reassess our priorities.

Respectfully,

Benjamin Lapham
