Congrats Assistant Chief Joseph Pfeifer, retiring after 37 years with the . The famous Chief Pfeifer, was working in the 1st Battalion on 9/11/01, the 1st in Chief at the World Trade Center, establishing incident command. Since then, he organized the FDNY's Counter Terrorism & Domestic Preparedness, bringing intelligence & preparedness to the department. Enjoy retirement, Chief! Thank you for making us safer & better prepared.
