A cool moment at the hospital as Mark Beranek and his wife Kellie unexpectedly crossed paths while both serving their communities with their respective fire departments. It’s always special to see husband and wife both answering the call and living a life of service together. Proud to have families like theirs in the fire service community.

This image features Firefighter Kellie and her husband Mark, who is a Glenview Fire Department Firefighter. They had the good fortune to run into each other at the hospital after transporting patients via ambulance.

Our littlest learners took a big field trip this month to a Glenview Fire Department station! 🚒 There, our Willowbrook preschoolers met with first responders in their community, explored trucks and equipment, and learned about fire safety. Thank you to Mrs. Cummings and the preschool team for making this hands-on learning happen for our kiddos!

This week Glenview Fire Department crews had the opportunity to attend a valuable presentation hosted by Nicor, highlighting their equipment, operations, and role in emergency response. Trainings like these strengthen our partnership and coordination on odor investigations, structure fires, and gas leak incidents—helping us work together more effectively to keep the community safe. Thank you for taking the time to come and share this information with us, Nicor Gas.
