Mike Caplis was honored as Hometown Hero at the Chicago Wolves game tonight. Mike worked for the GFD for 29 years and retired as a Lieutenant. Mike has been very involved in our Local since day one and remains a very active member as a retiree. Very happy to see him recognized at tonight’s game!

The AFFI is saddened to learn of the Line of Duty Death of Chicago Fire Department Firefighters Union - Local 2 Brother Mike Altman who was critically injured at an extra alarm fire yesterday.
Arrangements will be communicated as they become available. Please keep our Brothers and Sisters of Local 2 as well as the Altman Family and members of Truck 47 in your thoughts.

The North Shore Senior Center is a fantastic organization that provides indispensable services to nearly 25,000 older adults. They provide a wide range of services from wellness programs to financial guidance. The Glenview Professional Firefighters are proud to work with them in our community to ensure that those we serve have the best care in times of need. Today, we mourn the loss of retired Battalion Chief Larry Wysocki but we celebrate the incredible life he lived. Larry led by example and treated everyone as if they were part of his own family. He brought so much joy, light and wisdom to anyone he crossed paths with. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones.
Rest easy brother, we’ll take it from here.
