Last weekend Chicagoland Muskie Hunters traveled South to beautiful Lake Kinkaid. We attended our 3rd Annual Musky Outing and it was again a huge success. With a lot of help from Shawnee Muskie Hunters we raised $500 for the Illinois Bob Kerans Scholastic Muskie Tournament and another $250 for Camp Angler . Two youth events that most of us feel strong about and deserve recognition. Another thank you to Shawnee Expeditions & So IL Sportfishing for stopping in giving a detailed seasonal fishing report. The wheels are already turning thinking about 2027 and how we can make it even better.

It’s FREE and open to anyone interested in muskie fishing!

WHEN: Tuesday, April 14 @ 7:30pm.

WHAT: For our April meeting, we are celebrating our most accomplished anglers of 2025. We will be providing FREE pizza and salad for everyone in attendance. After the award ceremony, we will have a presentation titled "Turn back the clock to 1966." Learn the history of Muskie fishing and the inception of the Chicagoland "Musky Hunters," which was created in a basement in the Sauganash neighborhood of Chicago's Northwest side. (If you have any artifacts or articles archived from our chapter that you would like to show off, we will have a display table in the back for viewing.)

PLUS – in addition to our regular raffle prizes – you can win an American Hardwood Lures Globe custom-made for Frank Loye, our past President, generously donated by Ed Loye. Tickets will be $5 each or 5/$20.
