We were saddened to learn of Gene Cohen’s passing (white and green White Sox hat) . Gene was a long time board member and supporter of the CBCC. He passed quietly after fighting ALS for the last eight years. We appreciated the many contributions Gene made to the CBBC and to those who are fortunate to know him.

Spring Training is underway and soon, it will be Opening Day in Chicago!!

Last week, C.B.C.C. Board Members Howard Kaplan, Bob Pierce and Gene Hiser presented Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, Camp One Step by Children's Oncology Services and Lurie Cancer Center of Northwestern Hospital with checks from this year's golf outing.

We also wanted to announce that the 2026 Outing will be held at Twin Orchard Country Club on July 16th. We hope to see you there!!

Thank you for everyone that was able to participate in this year's golf outing!! It was another successful year due to all of the fantastic golfers, online bidders and dedicated volunteer staff!

The 2025 CBCC Silent Auction is now LIVE!! Follow the link below to see all of the great items that we'll be auctioning off this year, for a very worthy cause. The auction is set to close at approximately 7:30 pm this Thursday, so make sure to get your bids in early and often! Also, the live auction items will only be available for those attending the event.

This week, Executive Board members Howard Kaplan and Bob Pierce presented a check to Dr. Platanias for further research his team will do to continue to fight cancer at Northwestern Medicine. Dr. P was also pleased to receive a custom CBCC pickleball set that he said he will put to good use!
