🚨🚌 THE BUS STOPS. YOU STOP. PERIOD. 🚌🚨

📚 SCHOOL STARTS THURSDAY! 📚

That means kids will be getting on and off school buses every day. Please slow down and pay attention as you travel.

When you see those RED LIGHTS FLASHING and the STOP ARM OUT — STOP! 🛑

❌ Don’t try to squeeze past.
❌ Don’t think you have enough time.
❌ Don’t assume the kids are already safely across the road.

👉 STOP AT LEAST 20 FEET FROM THE BUS AND WAIT.

Those few seconds could be the difference between a child making it home safely and a tragedy that can never be undone.

🚒 Glenvil Volunteer Fire Department asks everyone: SLOW DOWN. PAY ATTENTION. STOP FOR THE BUS.

❤️🚌 Our kids are worth the wait.

As temps get higher, this is a great reminder about the dangers of a HOT car.

🚜 6 TO 8 FOOT TALL CORN STALKS AND NOT SLOWING DOWN ARE MAKING RURAL INTERSECTIONS VERY DANGEROUS RIGHT NOW TILL AFTER HARVEST.

The corn is now 6 - 8 feet tall in many locations in Nebraska. Many rural road intersections have no yield or stop signs, an unprotected intersection. Right now till harvest treat every intersection with tall corn as a 4 way stop. Many farmers plant corn on State and County road ditches, which make these intersections more dangerous. Drivers are not slowing down at these rural intersections.
