Last night BFD drivers were taken through pump training on our new apparatus. The other members practiced hose advancement from the new rig, as it is set up differently fro the previous rig.

Tuesday evening Beukendaal was dispatched to Old Dominion Freight for a report of two tractors on fire. Chiefs arrived on scene in a few minutes of call and found 3 tractors on fire and quickly moved to 4 due to wind gusts. They called for MA from Scotia & Glenville Hills. 2522 arrived just after Scotia and that crew was assigned to stop the advancement of the fire and protect the remaining tractors, with Scotia holding the line at the entrance. GHFD and Rescue 2544 provided water supply and man power. Damage was limited to 6 tractors. Excellent job by all! We wish to thank both Scotia and Glenville Hill for their assistance!

Beukendaal had a busy night last night and into the morning! Cranesville Block had its second fire in three months! We really want to thank all the Mutual Aid companies that responded!! It was a tremendous team effort!!

BFD members going through the motions on Ice Rescue procedures tonight at drill. The Officers did a fantastic job of making it fun, getting the point across, and not death by power point!
