Members of our team focused on CPR and First Aid training because when emergencies happen, preparation matters.
We’re happy to report that all patients survived…although the CPR mannequins weren’t terribly cooperative when asked about their symptoms. 😉
Have a safe weekend, Garfield County!

“No mannequins were harmed in the making of this training video”😂

🫎IF YOU HAPPEN TO SEE ONE OF THESE…🫎
We’ve had several moose sightings in local neighborhoods recently, and our deputies have responded to help keep both people and wildlife safe.

While it’s tempting to get a closer look or snap a selfie, moose are wild animals and can be unpredictable. Please give them plenty of space, keep pets away, and use your camera’s zoom to get closer, not your feet.

The best way to enjoy wildlife is to let it stay wild.

Our Mounted Patrol recently received a thank-you card from the parents of Captain William “Pyro” DuBois, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful event.
The Pyro Run honors the life and legacy of Captain DuBois, a local son, U.S. Air Force captain, and F-16 pilot who was killed while flying a mission in service to our country. While his military service is remembered with deep respect and gratitude, those who knew him remember a young man who left a lasting impact on his family, friends, and community.
Each year, the Pyro Run brings people together not only to remember Captain DuBois’ sacrifice, but also to celebrate the life he lived and the values he represented. We were honored to play a small role in supporting an event that means so much to so many.
Thank you to the DuBois family, volunteers, participants and supporters who continue to keep his memory alive.
