Calling all 4-H Families,

It is time for the biggest NEW event of the year for Pope County 4-H. The Fair is where we showcase, the awards banquet is where we celebrate. 4-H Field Day is where we come together in the summer to hang out, build connections, meet new friends, and welcome the community into the joy of 4-H.

Treasurer

Being a 4-H Treasurer means being the backbone the county finance team
From the moment you step into the role, you’re taking charge—updating bank information, handling deposits, and making sure every dollar is accounted for. You keep things running smoothly by paying bills on time, tracking income and expenses, and making sure all spending is within the approved county budget and following the guide.
It’s not just about numbers—it’s about trust and responsibility. Reviewing treasurer’s reports and bank statements, and wrapping up the year with a complete financial summary keeps the whole 4-H program transparent and on track. The budget is a guide for what the 4-H program does that year
And you’re never doing it alone—treasurers work alongside the 4-H officer and finance team to make things happen.

Secretary
You're organized, informed, and on top of things. You are the 4-H Secretary.
You’re the official record keeper—capturing every motion, who made it, who seconded it, and whether it passed or failed. Your notes become the story of your club’s progress, and you bring them back at the next meeting for review and approval.
But your role goes beyond minutes. You keep an updated member list, and handle correspondence—sharing important updates, sending thank-you notes, and responding to requests. When needed, you even help kick off meetings if leadership is absent, keeping things running smoothly.
You also play a key part in shaping the future—helping track goals and programs so nothing gets overlooked.
Being a Secretary is all about attention to detail, communication, and leadership behind the scenes—making sure 4-H stays connected and successful in the community

Vice President
Being a 4-H Vice President means stepping up, staying prepared, and keeping the momentum going
You’re the right hand to the president—ready to lead a meeting at any moment and confident in running things smoothly with strong parliamentary skills. But your role goes beyond that. The vice president chairs committees and works them to provide quality programming and stay up to date. You’re the planner behind the scenes—building a calendar of events, organizing monthly programs, and making sure every meeting is engaging and well-balanced. You keep meetings on track and, above all, your job is to ensure the 4-H program is inclusive to all 4-H members and to the community.
You help turn ideas into action. You’re constantly collaborating with the president, Jacob, and fellow officers to make each meeting meaningful and successful.
Being Vice President is all about teamwork, preparation, and leadership in motion—supporting the officer team and the whole 4-H program all year long
