4-H Youth, Families, and Supporters are invited to join us as we reflect on our 2026 Showcase Experience! From the ring to judging to the 4-H building to cleanup, and every moment in-between, we cherish our time with each other and with the community. It may be almost 365 days away, but our next Showcase at the Pope County Fair is already in the works!

This is a quick reminder that all are welcome to join our joint PDC (Project Development Committee) on September 27th from 5:30-7:30 to reflect, share with each other, and learn together. We will meet in the Community Room of the Pope County Courthouse

Our shows today are Market Beef at 7:30, Meat & Dairy Goats at 8, Swine at 8:30, The Beef Championship Event at 2 and Market Lambs at 3pm. Support our Pope County 4-Hers!

Have you heard the news? The 4-H Building Campaign has officially started! The 4-H Building at the Minnesota State Fair is the highlight of many for their experience at the Minnesota State Fair. For generations, the 4-H Building is where it all clicked: the moment they showed a project, held a ribbon and realized they were capable of more than they imagined, surrounded by people who believed in them. The magic hasn't changed, but the building needs to. Today's 4-H'ers are building robots, launching businesses and solving real-world problems the people who built the 4-H Building couldn't have imagined – they deserve a space that matches their ambition. This renovation, shaped by input from our 4-H community, honors beloved traditions while creating room for new ones, preserving what makes 4-H unforgettable for generations to come. Livestock Shows are starting for Minnesota 4-H at the State Fair!

Beef (Cow Calf & Breeding) and Poultry start at 1PM. Meat Goat Showmanship is at 3 today.

Hello 4-H State Fair Livestock Exhibitors!

Congratulations on earning a trip to the Minnesota State Fair! A reminder that again this year you need to take your livestock interview test online prior to arriving at the State Fair! Exhibitors (except for dairy) will each view an educational video and then complete a specie specific test. The whole process will take 45-60 minutes to complete. Questions from the video will be included with specie specific information on the test.

Tests need to be completed by August 25 at 6 p.m. in order to be eligible for higher than a blue ribbon at the State Fair. Links to the video can be found on the 4-H Livestock Exhibitor Information page at z.umn.edu/StateFairLivestockInterviews. Select your correct specie and age group to view the video and participate in your livestock interview test. Be sure to enter in an email address when you begin and once you complete the test, a confirmation email will be sent to you.

Again, this process must be completed no later than 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25. If you have any questions on the process, please contact your local Extension Educator.

We have lots of new and returning families, this is a fun opportunity to help you get ready! Whether it's your first time ever, first time with a project, or you want to connect with youth from all over

Calling youth exhibitors! Come to the State Fair Livestock Exhibitor Get Together on Wednesday, August 26th from 2-3 p.m!

Why should you attend?
- Get to know other 4-H youth
- Review specific species information
- Walking tour of important locations
- Ask questions and learn from experienced 4-H exhibitors!

Open to all 4-H exhibitors but geared for:
- Three or less years of experience at State Fair
- Exhibitors showing a new species
- Exhibitors with small county delegations

Hosted by the 4-H Animal Science Ambassador Team. Location at the White tent between Christensen Pavilion & Como Avenue.
