Tiger Sharks Swim Meet Dates!

Just a reminder to our Globe Community Pool guests that we will have Tiger Sharks swim meets on Thursday, September 3, Thursday, September 10, and Thursday, September 24.

Because of the meets, Water Aerobics will be canceled on these dates. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we support our young swimmers! 💙

We welcome and encourage our community to come out and support our young athletes! Let’s wish our Globe Tiger Sharks the very best of luck! 🏆🐯 Swim fast, have fun, and make us proud! 💦👏

🌞🏊‍♀️ Make the Most of the Last Weekends at the Globe Community Pool! 🏊‍♂️🌞

Well, the time is almost here. We officially have just two more weekends before the Globe Community Pool closes for the season. The monsoons may have made this summer a little challenging, and summer is quickly winding down, but there’s still time to enjoy the pool!

Take advantage of these final weekends, make the most of the sunshine and indulge in a little more summer fun while you can. Bring the family, cool off and enjoy the last days of the season with us! 💦☀️

This weekend’s schedule:

Friday: Open swim, 10 AM–5 PM

Saturday: Family Fun Night, open swim from 10 AM–8 PM

Sunday: Open swim, 10 AM–5 PM

We will be here as long as the weather allows us to be. Don’t wait until it’s too late—we’ll see you at the pool! ❤️🏊‍♀️🌴

❤️ Celebrating One of Our Own ❤️

Today, the City of Globe Community Pool said goodbye and wished the very best to Joey as he begins an exciting new chapter.

Joey has been an important part of our pool family for all four years of the pool’s operation. During his time with us, he grew from a pool employee into a Lead and went on to become CPO certified, taking on additional responsibilities and developing valuable skills along the way.

His journey is a wonderful example of what working at the Globe Community Pool can be. It can be so much more than just a summer job. It can be an opportunity to develop leadership skills, earn certifications, gain valuable work experience, build confidence, and prepare for the next step in life.

Joey is now heading back to school, and while we are sad to see him leave, we are incredibly proud of everything he has accomplished and excited to see where his hard work takes him.

Thank you, Joey, for four years of dedication, leadership, and service to the Globe Community Pool and our community. We appreciate everything you have contributed and the positive example you have set for those who follow.

We wish you the very best as you continue your education and pursue your goals. Once part of our pool family, always part of our pool family. ❤️🏊‍♂️🎓

🌧️ Unfortunately, we’re going to have to call it.

We’ve been holding out hope that the storms would move through. The pool has been closed since 1:30PM, and unfortunately, it looks like the weather isn’t letting up anytime soon.

Because of the continued storms, Family Fun Night is canceled for tonight. 😔

We’re disappointed too, but safety always comes first. ❤️

We’ll aim for next week and hope Mother Nature cooperates! 🌈☀️

🐯 Tiger Sharks Are Back! 🏊‍♀️💦

The first week of Globe Tiger Sharks practice is in the books! We love seeing our young swimmers back in the pool, working hard, building confidence, and having fun. 🐯💪

What a beautiful evening at the Globe Community Pool, with Tiger Sharks practice happening alongside Water Aerobics and lap swimming. There’s something for everyone!

❤️ We will continue to keep the pool open and offer these programs as long as attendance and community participation continue to support them. Your attendance truly makes a difference!

The season may be winding down, but our lifeguards aren’t slowing down! 🛟

We only have a few weeks left before we close for the season on Labor Day, but our lifeguards continue to train, learn, and stay committed to keeping our community safe.

Today’s training included First Aid, Narcan response, basic wound and cut care, heat stroke recognition and response, and other important emergency scenarios that can happen around the pool.

And of course, we have to mix in a little fun along the way! 😄💦

We are so proud of our lifeguards for continuing to show up, stay prepared, and take their responsibility seriously all the way to the end of the season.
