2026 LEGISLATIVE SESSION NEWS

Governor Hobbs has signed several Bills into law this session, one of which is Bill SB1540 which amends A.R.S. 33-1101 by adding several other types of homes, aside from a dwelling house, condominium or cooperative, and a mobile home, that qualify for the Homestead Exemption up to $400,000:

PARK MODEL TRAILER,
MOTOR HOME,
TRAVEL TRAILER,
5 FIFTH WHEEL TRAILER,
HOUSEBOAT,
MANUFACTURED HOME
OR OTHER FORM OF SHELTER
PLUS, THE LAND ON WHICH THAT SHELTER IS LOCATED.

This is NOT something you get from the Assessor's office, this automatically attaches to the property.
