We hope you are all well! We wanted to let you know of a volunteer opportunity we have available at the Day Shelter until the Winter Shelter gets rolling! There’s also some Winter Shelter activities posted on our volunteer page if you want to browse! We need volunteers at the front desk, so if you have free time that aligns with our hours, we would love to have you here! There’s also a QR code to scan on your phone/tablet for our Day Shelter Volunteer opportunity!

Front page alert! A loud round of applause for Mike Horrell - someone who "shies away from the spotlight, but it still finds him" - now featured in the Gazette-Journal and in this post!

I highly recommend giving this article a read. Just to name a few of his many contributions to our community, Mike has spent countless hours serving with the GUEST shelter, the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, the Tidewater Appalachian Trail Club, and as an election official.

In a time when so many people seek recognition for their accomplishments, it is truly refreshing to witness such genuine humility and dedication to serving others. Mike, thank you for your service to GUEST and to the Gloucester community. You truly make an impact here, and we appreciate you greatly!

Thank you so much to all our volunteers that helped clean up our GUEST location!! We were able to organize our garden shed, clean the gutters around the building, power wash the siding, pull weeds, lay mulch in our flower bed, and so much more. Our day would not have been successful without all of the help we received 😄

🚐 GUEST’s newest addition! 🚐 This beauty was recently gifted to us by Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church - Grace on Main. During the winter, Grace on Main serves as one of our host church sites for the winter shelter program. We are so grateful for your generosity, compassion, and partnership in serving our community.
