There is road work being completed on Yandell Road near the intersection with Clarkdell Road today. Expect traffic delays. Use caution when driving through the area and please pay attention to traffic flaggers.

📢REMINDER: STILL HIRING IN PUBLIC WORKS📢

The Public Works Department has an open position for a maintenance worker on our right-of-way maintenance crew. Essential duties include but are not limited to:

🟡Operation of motor vehicles and heavy equipment
🟡Operation of grass cutting equipment (zero turn mowers, w**d eaters, edgers, ect)
🟡Flagging and directing traffic
🟡Litter pickup in city right-of-way and residential limb pickup
🟡Basic equipment maintenance
🟡Other duties as assigned

Required qualifications for this position include:

📌High school diploma or GED
📌Experience with operating grass cutting equipment
📌Physical ability to bend, walk, stand, and lift daily in outdoor conditions (rain, snow, heat, ect)

Compensation and details for the position include:

✅️Full time, 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday-Friday
✅️$17 per hour starting pay + benefits

⚠️Gluckstadt Road Paving Project Traffic Update⚠️

The current traffic pattern on Gluckstadt Road will remain in place until final striping operations are completed. Striping is scheduled to begin Saturday morning. Once the striping work is finished, the roadway will be reopened to normal traffic patterns.

We appreciate everyone's patience as we complete the final phase of this project. Please continue to use caution when traveling through the work zone and watch for crews and equipment.

The Gluckstadt Road paving project between Stadt Nutrition and the city limits (by Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church) will begin on Monday, June 8th, weather permitting. Work will start on the east end of the project by Stadt Nutrition in the westbound lane. Sections of Gluckstadt Road will have one lane eastbound or one lane westbound closed depending on the work area. Expect delays when driving this route. Please use caution when driving in the area and pay close attention to lane shifts, posted signage, traffic flaggers, and construction workers.

As part of the ongoing paving project on Gluckstadt Road, the eastbound right lane will be closed between Bozeman Road and Take 5 through Friday. Traffic will be reduced to a single eastbound lane in this area for traffic safety.

Please use caution, expect delays, and consider alternate routes if possible.

We appreciate your patience as we continue making improvements to Gluckstadt Road.
