Hadley Falls Dam was constructed in 1921 and the State of NH took ownership in 1968.

In April and May 2023, NHDES notified Goffstown of the State's decision to remove the Hadley Falls Dam.

🌊 Goffstown River Advisory Committee – Get Involved

Did you know the Goffstown Select Board established the Goffstown River Advisory Committee in June 2024?

The committee’s role is to advise the Select Board on matters related to the Piscataquog River, with particular focus on:
• Hadley Falls Dam (FERC Project P-5379)
• Gregg Falls Dam (P-3180)
• Kelley’s Falls Dam (P-3025)

The committee may also provide guidance on broader river management topics including preservation, recreation, economic vitality, public safety, water quality, and long-term sustainability.

If you have questions or concerns about the Hadley Falls Dam or other river-related issues, attending a meeting is a great way to learn more and share your perspective. Public participation is always welcome.
