The Association is funded through community donations and fund raisers held by the Association. The Pope County EMT Association was originally formed in 1981 by volunteers of Pope County Ambulance Service to fund the purchase of equpment and uniforms as well as fund continuing education courses for personnel. Since that time, The Association has expanded it's mission to include community education

and awareness through participating and donating to community events and projects including project success and project graduation. We also provide training for the community as well as other Emergency Service entities throughout the county.

The Pope County EMT Association offers a variety of education courses for the public including CPR, public access defibrillation, First Aid, and EMT Courses. We also do seminars for schools and organizations who request training in safety, awareness, and prevention of illness and injuries. Any organization wishing to utilize our services may do by leaving a message here or by calling Sabrina Banks at (618) 638-5925. **COMING SOON** The Pope County EMT Association is in the process of of forming The Pope County EMT Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund is being formed in the honor of all former EMT's and EMS personnel who dedicating their lives to serve the residents and visitors of Pope County. The scholarship will be open to any Pope County Resident who is pursuing a career in the field of healthcare. We hope to have more details in the next few months.
