**REMINDER: Reiter Road remains closed at MP 5, near the 47700 block of Reiter Road, due to a landslide that occurred in March.

The Gold Bar Police Department has received reports of drivers bypassing the road closure signs. Please remember that drivers who go around posted road closure signs may be cited under RCW 46.44.080, Violation of Posted Road Restrictions, which carries a $423 fine.

The closure is in place for public safety. Please obey all posted road closure signs.

We’ve received several reports of residents in the Gold Bar area who have not received important financial and personal documents that were expected to arrive through the mail and were suspected to be stolen. If you are expecting items such as a driver’s license, passport, credit card, debit card, or other forms of identification or financial instruments and they have not arrived but the senders verifies arrival, please file a report at mycrimereport.us. Deputies in the region have recovered stolen mail on multiple occasions and are working to identify the individuals involved in this crime.
