At approximately 3:02 pm, 45 year old Glenn Allen Burkhow escaped custody when he had ran from a Deputy at Curry General Hospital in Gold Beach. Burkhow was in custody after being arrested by U.S. Marshals on Curry County warrants on 12/09/2025. Burkhow had been transported to Curry General Hospital earlier in the day on 12/13/2025 for a suspected medical issue and after being cleared to return to jail, he took off running. Sheriff’s Deputies, Gold Beach Police, Port Orford Police, Brookings Police and Oregon State Police were all involved in searching for Burkhow. At this time Burkhow is still at large after running into heavy brushy areas.

This notice is to inform the public of Burkhow’s escape. Burkhow is wearing jail issued orange clothing and was not wearing any shoes.
