Our 6th graders got to explore, play, and make memories together — the kind of day that reminds you school is about connection as much as it is classrooms. High-energy, big smiles, and plenty of “did you SEE that?!” moments. 😄🙌

Hanby celebrated Principal’s Day in the best way today! 🧀💙🖤
Mr. Hamasu is truly “nacho average principal,” and our Huskies made sure he felt the love with a special banner and a “nacho” mural made of kind notes.

The fun kept rolling as our 6th grade leadership students led a great Spirit Week assembly featuring student speeches, a Star Wars obstacle course, and a staff vs. students basketball game!

We’re so grateful for Mr. Hamasu’s leadership and for the students who made today so special. Go Huskies! 🐾

What an incredible Día del Niño celebration at Hanby! 🎉 It was so much fun to see our 6th–8th graders laughing, connecting, and just enjoying time together across grade levels.

Celebrated on April 30 in Mexico, Día del Niño is a day dedicated to honoring children and the joy they bring to our communities. 🇲🇽

Our students spent the day rotating through art, food, sports, dance, music, and games stations—such a joyful way to celebrate the amazing kids who make Hanby such a special place! 💙

Crazy Hair Day = creativity unlocked — and these Huskies showed up with full commitment (including a truly legendary “water bottle ponytail” situation). 😂👏

🌎🎉 Día del Niño at Hanby = pure JOY. 💙🖤🐾

Students spent the day rotating through five fun stations:
🍽️ food • 🏃 sports • 💃 dance • 🎶 music • 🎨 art

So many smiles, so much energy, and so much celebration of our amazing kids. 🙌✨
(And yes… there was a little World Cup-style soccer happening too. ⚽😉)

🐾💙🖤 Congrats to Hanby’s Pentagames Mathletes! 🖤💙🐾

These Hanby Huskies competed against schools from across the valley and came home with ribbons, pins, and some serious bragging rights. 📈🏆

⭐ Molly Meize — 3rd Place (7th grade individual)
⭐ Andromeda Martinich — 2nd Place (8th grade individual)
⭐ Hanby 7th Grade Team — 1st Place Overall 👏👏

Ranger Combs (aka Charlie Bucket in Crater’s current production) won a bunch of candy for his estimation skills. We love a crossover moment!

Shout out to the amazing Ms. Gurr, our Kool FM Teacher of the Week! To know her is to appreciate the way she shows up for students every day with care, consistency, and heart. Thank you for all you do, Ms. Gurr. Keep doing good!
